The Natural Heritage Program is a contributing member of the NatureServe network, which consists of natural heritage programs and conservation data centers across the United States, Canada and Latin America. The Natural Heritage Program compiles information on Utah’s species from a variety of sources, including scientific literature, museum collections and field surveys. This information is provided to government agencies, businesses, researchers, land managers, conservation groups and the public to help inform decisions regarding land use, development and conservation.
